FAQs
What Should I bring or wear to class?
Generally you should bring a towel, water, a sweatshirt, a healthy snack and lunch. The type of shoe is key for easy flowing movement, so you should wear good supportive shoes such as cross-trainers, or dance-specific sneakers. Wear shoes that do not have a lot of tread at the bottom and are meant for medial/lateral/twisting motion

How can I have a safer and better first time Zumba experience?
Wear the proper footwear. In order to give you proper balance and coordination on the dance floor, your sneakers should have some kind of shock support and should have the proper traction so that you can turn easily. Come in with an open mind. When in doubt shake it out. The more you come to the class the more you learn. Execute each step at your fitness level and increase movements as you learn the steps or routines.
The bootcamp is a 4 week fitness camp that uses resistance training exercises to tone your muscles and body weight exercise drills to build your endurance. We will burn the maximum amount of calories in our sessions to guarantee your weight loss!

What is a typical workout like?
The bootcamp workout will start with a warm up that will prepare your joints and muscles for dynamic movements and body weight exercise (Squats, Pushups, Athletic Drills, Coordination Drills, Squats, and anything else we can think of to get you in the best shape of your life, oh… and Squats) we finish with a stretch routine to loosen up those tired muscles.

Will I be sore?
Most people feel some soreness for the first few sessions. After that point, your body WILL adapt and overcome.
How soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks depending on your level of effort. It's becoming common to see a camper go down 1-3 dresses sizes within the first camp. Remember, everyone is different!
How can I have a safer and better first time partner dancing experience?
Wear the proper footwear. In order to give you proper balance and coordination on the dance floor, your ballroom/latin dance shoes must fit snug. It is important to brush the suede soles regularly with a proper suede brush to free them of any wax buildup from dance floors. If there is a buildup of wax and dirt on your shoes, they will become slippery and cause the soles to wear sooner. Please do not wear your dance shoes outdoors as they are designed specifically for dancing. They are a necessary part of your dancing and will enhance and make your dancing more enjoyable.
